EPILOGUE

"I have shown only a small part of it here. The rest is dedicated to the interior spaces.
Of course, it's impossible to describe the entire work process. There were many challenges, mistakes, and revisions. It took a tremendous amount of time to achieve not only a harmonious design but also to make the renders realistic.

Yes, you may notice that I posted everything in one day, but the work on the entire project took 9 months.

I'm glad that I had the opportunity to participate in this competition as it gives me a chance to showcase this amazing project to the world once again. I sincerely hope that someday this project will be realized, and I will personally be able to attend the grand opening.

FINAL

The result of the project is a meticulously designed and visually stunning home, both in its exterior and interior spaces. The attention to detail, the thoughtfulness in selecting materials, and the careful consideration of each element contribute to creating a harmonious and comfortable living environment. The project showcases a seamless integration between the indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing residents to enjoy the beauty of nature while experiencing the utmost comfort and convenience. From the kitchen area, they can effortlessly access the Aromatic Garden, where herbs, vegetables, and spices are grown. This convenient arrangement allows for easy access to fresh and homegrown ingredients for a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner

KITCHEN (PENTHOUSE)

All systems have already been meticulously planned and designed to meet ergonomic standards. My task was not only to create visualizations but also to select the finishing materials for the spaces, including the kitchen fronts and island. Additionally, I had to choose furniture that would harmonize with the interior, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere

DETAILS ARE IMPORTANT

There were a lot of details that required attention, ranging from the finishing materials of the entire space to the selection and design of door handles. Every aspect was carefully considered to ensure a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing design. The choice of materials, textures, colors, and even the smallest elements like door handles contributed to the overall ambiance and functionality of the interiors.

UNITY OF THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR

Speaking in detail about the interiors would take a long time. I just want to point out that there were even more nuances in the interior spaces than on the exterior. There are a lot of details depicted in the visualizations, and they are not random. Everything in this house will be arranged for comfortable and convenient living for its inhabitants

INTERIORS

LIVING ROOM (PENTHOUSE)

After completing the exteriors and creating all the gardens for the Hikari project, I embarked on the next task: "Creating Interior Spaces - Hikari Interiors." It was a challenging task considering the number of revisions made throughout the design process. This time I want to focus on the living room of the Penthouse.

I will show you just a few renders of the living room and kitchen. I consider this important because it is in these apartments that there is a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The living room and kitchen have direct access to the terrace. The view from the window to the sea is a signature feature. The house is located in the city of Carqueiranne in the south of France.

DREAM IN REAL LIFE

Just imagine. In the morning you want to make breakfast. You need tomatoes and fresh herbs to cook. But you don't have to go to the store for it. The freshest and tastiest ingredients are already growing on your terrace. You walk out of the kitchen area to your garden where fresh herbs and vegetables are growing. You pick just the right amount and back to prepare your favorite delicious breakfast.
Can you imagine? Isn't it heavenly?

ALL HERBS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

The landscape architect designed special zones for planting herbs and vegetables. Onions, parsley, basil, rosemary, oregano, vines, tomatoes and berries will grow here

AROMATIC GARDEN

The project also includes a garden dedicated to growing vegetables and fresh herbs. This garden serves as a sustainable and practical addition to the Hikari residence, allowing residents to cultivate their own produce and enjoy the benefits of homegrown, organic ingredients. It provides an opportunity to reconnect with nature, promote healthy living, and savor the flavors of freshly harvested vegetables and herbs.

This magnificent garden is located on the top floor of a luxurious penthouse building. Its close proximity to the kitchen space makes it a real functional garden in this project

The manufacturer also provides 3D models of their products, but not all positions are good to use. Many of the models had a very bad grid and I had to model the upholstered items myself. The difference is shown below and it is obvious

THE TERRACE (PENTHOUSE)

The terrace is thoughtfully designed with maximum comfort and attention to ergonomic details. Every aspect of the space is carefully considered to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. From the arrangement of furniture to the choice of materials, the terrace provides an optimal environment for relaxation and enjoyment, ensuring that every moment spent there is comfortable and pleasurable.

PERGOLA ON THE TERRACE

The terrace features a special pergola that can be accessed by homeowners year-round. Thanks to its retractable blades and motor-driven, it adapts to all weather conditions. If you want to let in some light or on the contrary protect yourself from the sun, the roof of such a pergola quickly allows you to find the right position. It can be in a fully closed position as well as partially open. Such blades can withstand heavy loads, so even snow or hail does not interfere with them
Also the blades can be removed completely and enjoy the open sky

BEAUTIFUL WITH EACH PASSING YEAR

In the overall composition of the garden is installed spa and shower, thanks to this space is also functional, not only scenic. Taking a spa or shower you can admire the beautiful view that opens from the terrace.

The surface of the flooring is also very special. It use here wood - Itauba. This wood will take on a beautiful gray color over time due to the effects of the ambient atmosphere, sun and rain. It will age so beautifully that the patio will become even more beautiful over time than in the beginning

PENTHOUSE GARDEN

The garden on the top floor of the building deserves special attention. It is located in penthouse. Own terrace, SPA area, gazebo and even a garden for growing herbs and vegetables

THE MAIN VIEW (JAPANESE GARDEN)

The Hikari house is designed to provide the utmost comfort and tranquility, offering everyone the opportunity to connect with nature. Amidst the shade of trees, away from the hustle and bustle, this house becomes a place of serenity. Hikari is a sanctuary where one can find peace and harmony, truly embracing the essence of living in harmony with nature

CLOUSE UPS OF THE JAPANESE GARDEN

A path made of small pebbles "leads" us to a pergola made of dried bamboo, where we can sit in the shade of the Wisteria on a bench and listen to the birds singing. The sound of the fountain creates an incredible sense of seclusion with nature. The garden is located in the backyard of the building and away from the road, so no cars will disturb the enjoyment of this peaceful place

BEAUTIFUL NATURE AT HOME

The garden is an amazing composition created by a landscape architect. Each plant is placed in its specific location. The garden can be used any time of the year as a place for true relaxation and communion with nature. It would be wonderful to have a cup of coffee here in the shade of the trees!

JAPANESE GARDEN

This Japanese garden is located on the first floor of the backyard of the Hikari project. The entrance to the garden is through the main entrance of the building. The entrance area of the house is open, and the Japanese garden can be seen from the main street through the main hall.

OASIS ON THE BALCONIES

The balconies of the apartments are lush hanging gardens that transform the building into a verdant oasis amidst the concrete structures of the town. Additionally, the project boasts a meticulously designed a wide variety of plants and stunning compositions of trees, shrubs and flowers.

PENTHOUSE ON THE ROOF

The penthouse is unique not only in terms of interiors but also in terms of the terrace organization and having its own gardens. It has its own large private terrace, jacuzzi, shower, relaxation area, sun loungers, dinning area. The penthouse also has a stunning pergola that has the ability to transform, as well as a beautiful garden with water and a garden for growing vegetables and herbs next to the kitchen area.

BAMBOO AROUND

Planting three types of real bamboo around the perimeter of the building which will create a unique atmosphere and make Hikari one of the special objects of bionic architecture. All of this will help residents enjoy a unity with nature and comfort both outside and inside the home.

ABOUT BUILDING

Despite being a multistory building this project features only 11 apartments. One of them is a luxurious penthouse on the top floor with private gardens, a terrace, a jacuzzi and breathtaking views of the sea.

Building has not just an ordinary rectangular-shaped. Despite having a fairly simple geometry, the architect came up with a building shape resembling a ship that seems to be trying to sail away into the sea.

I am incredibly proud of the outcome of this project. It was a labor of love, dedication, and attention to detail. The Hikari house stands as a testament to the harmonious fusion of architecture, nature, and sustainable living. It is a place where beauty and functionality coexist, creating a truly inspiring and inviting space.

ADDED FINAL DETAILS TO THE SCENE

The Japanese garden was one of the most challenging tasks. It involved a multitude of different plants and objects as per the architect's design. You can now see how numerous details emerged from nothing, bringing us closer to the final stage of exterior design.

Each garden was gradually evolving, and with each iteration, something new was added. Most of the objects were modeled by me personally, which also took time.

Over time, the building and gardens took shape and began to resemble their final form. However, there was still a lot of work to be done.

The gardens underwent numerous revisions to achieve a realistic outcome. The aim was to ensure that every detail was perfected and that the gardens looked truly lifelike.

The next step was to create gardens on the balconies of the apartments. According to the landscape architect's concept, each balcony was planted with a unique plant, without any repetition. The work on the gardens took me a total of two months, including revisions.

Next came the stage of creating gardens based on the instructions from the landscape architect. The task itself was quite sparse, and I had to spend a considerable amount of time trying to understand how everything should come together. The task consisted of a hand-drawn sketch with plant names, and each plant had to be meticulously selected. It was a challenging process. I began with the gardens located in the Penthouse.

The design process started with the challenge of recreating the entire surrounding environment of the building in meticulous detail. I initially attempted to delegate the task, but as the saying goes, "If you want something done right, do it yourself." I took it upon myself to redo the work and ended up surpassing expectations.
