A truly good breakfast — one that lures you out of bed and gives you energy — doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming. Need proof? Here are 21 easy breakfast recipesthat take 15 minutes or less to make, and are worth sacrificing a tiny bit of sleep for — we pinky promise.

Egg clouds look impressive, plus they come together with a simple mixture of egg whites, parmesan, and (optional, but necessary) bacon. Serve with buttered toast triangles for the best yolk drippage. (via Brit + Co.)
This breakfast recipe replicates the creamy texture of traditional muesli (made with cream and whole-fat yogurt) with vegan-friendly almond milk, coconut cream, and coconut yogurt. We like to stir in apples, raisins, and shredded coconut, but you can use any add-ins you like! (via Brit + Co.)
We know, we know. What’s so special about scrambled eggs? When you cook them over low heat with extra butter until soft and custardy, you’ll be a believer too. (via Brit + Co.)

How do you level-up classic egg in a hole? You add another slice of bread to turn it into a sandwich — specifically, a sandwich with juicy tomato, melty cheddar, and creamy avocado. (via Brit + Co.)
Any combination of eggs and herbs works wonders in this creamy egg dish, which cooks in less than five minutes and is the ideal accompaniment to toasted bread. (via Brit + Co.)

Say hello to your new favorite way to consume eggs: cooked into an incredibly aromatic mixture of tomatoes, onion, red pepper, harissa, and tons of spices. (via Brit + Co.)
Suddenly in a shakshuka mood? Try this green version, too, packed with kale, spinach, tomatillos, and herbs. (via Brit + Co.)
French toast becomes the ultimate shareable breakfast when sliced into sticks and served with a bowl of raspberry cheesecake-esque dip. (via Brit + Co.)

Make a three-ingredient chia pudding, chill overnight, and combine with blueberries and a raspberry-agave mixture for a deliciously patriotic breakfast. (via Brit + Co.)
You need only cream cheese and produce to turn plain toast into eye candy. Go the savory route with green avocado and cucumber or the sweeter route with raspberry and pomegranate. (via Brit + Co.)
This three-ingredient breakfast demonstrates the magic of the broiler. Top a halved grapefruit with honey and cinnamon, broil for 15 minutes, and enjoy an elegant fruit-based meal. (via Brit + Co.)

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber are both stars in their own right, so it's no surprise there's always chatter about them. However, with the seemingly messy timeline surrounding their individual relationships with singer, Justin Bieber, pop-culture fanatics can't get enough information about how Selena and Hailey feel about one another.
There were been a number of instances where it seemed like the hatchet had been officially buried, including when Gomez pleaded with fans to stop sending hate toward Bieber and when they took a picture together at an awards show. It seemed like their relationship with one another continued to head in a positive direction, as the two were spotted in the same location in Paris twice within 24 hours. Are we being delulu to say it's giving friendship vibes?
However, now the girls are speculating about this alleged feud yet again. After Hailey posted a song off Beyoncé's highly-anticipated Cowboy Carter album, fans are grasping at straws to make this about Selena Gomez. Here's what's going on.
What did Hailey Bieber just post about Selena Gomez?
Image via Instagram/@haileybieber
In short: Hailey Bieber said absolutely nothing about Selena Gomezpublicly on social media, or otherwise. Like so many of us, Bieber merely posted Beyoncé's "Jolene" to her Instagram story — an iconic cover of Dolly Parton's legendary song. Nothing too surprising, given that Cowboy Carter is one of the most-anticipated new music releases for 2024. So what's the damage? Fans are apparently tying the song – notoriously about a man-stealing woman — to Bieber's relationship with Gomez, since both have been romantically tied to Justin Bieber at one point in the past.
But the thing is: there's nothing there. The two women have asked their respective fans to leave the other alone and stop speculating about a "feud" of any type between them. So why does everyone keep reaching for drama? Begging for them to tear each other down? Wanting them to fight over a man? It's a pastime that's gone on for years online and in the media — this town isn't big enough for two women to win, so they have to hate each other, right?
Obviously, raising this issue isn't going to fix it overnight, but if we can point out one thing, please let it be this: Hailey Bieber just wanted to listen to Beyoncé, okay? Let's also just put the album on and mind our own business for now.
What went down between Selena and Hailey in Paris?
Paris Fashion Week brings together some of the most elite celebrities, but we didn't expect to see both Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber on their way to the same locations twice in one day!
Gomez and Bieber were both seen lunching at the same restaurant called L'Avenue. Although this spot is known to be a celebrity watering hole, it's still interesting that the two could have been there at the same time.
The night before, September 26, the two celebs were seen at The Flower Nightclub. What makes this tidbit even more juicy is that the two seemed to be dressed in very, very similar outfits. Both looked stunning in black dresses and black shoes.
While one of these instances occurring could be dismissed as a coincidence, two just feels like something more is going on. Social media platforms, such as TikTok, are blowing up with speculation as to where these two could be in terms of their relationship, and we're all ready to see what happens next!

These Easy Swedish Meatballs Are Your Family's Next Favorite Meal
Meredith Holser
Mar 25, 2024
Alyssa Rivers heads up the widely-popular recipe blog, The Recipe Critic, but you’d never guess it started as a simple hobby. Garnering around 10 million pageviews a month, The Recipe Critic boasts a massive library of delicious, restaurant-tier recipes that are still super approachable and easy.
Alyssa’s passion for no-fuss recipes grew from her role as a wife and mother to four kids. She knows it’s not always easy to get food on the table for multiple mouths, which is why her debut cookbook, The Tried & True Cookbook: 150 Quick and Easy Recipes for Busy Families, highlights attainable meals for families.
“If I see a recipe that has several ingredients or takes a lot of time, I know that that's not going to be achievable for a busy mom of four kids, like myself,” she says. “I really tried to make all of the recipes be family-friendly and relatable with minimal ingredients and just really delicious but will become a regular rotation.”
And the recipes really are delicious. From creative digs like Alyssa’s Sesame-Crusted Miso Honey Salmon Bowls to her one-pot pastas like Creamy Chicken Mushroom Florentine, The Tried & True Cookbook has everything your easy weeknight meals need to succeed.
The Tried & True Cookbook: 150 Quick and Easy Recipes for Busy Families comes out March 26, 2024. We’re highlighting the recipe for Swedish Meatballs in this article, which is a total go-to for Alyssa and her family.
About The Recipe Critic
The Recipe Critic started out as a small blog that Alyssa created after moving cross-country from Utah to North Carolina. Though she was far away, the blog connected her Utahn friends and family members to her most-loved recipes.
“Interestingly enough, growing up, I didn't come from a cooking background,” she says. “It really wasn't until I had to learn for myself and cook for myself and for my family. That's when the love for cooking started for me.”
And after her efforts with The Recipe Critic started showing monetary returns, Alyssa was so excited about its potential – she lets that feeling guide her even today.
“Honestly, if you would have told me when I started it that I would be here today and have one of the world's largest food blogs, there is no way I would have ever believed it,” she says. “I try to go back to how amazing it felt in the very beginning when I realized that I could contribute something for my family.”
The Best Swedish Meatballs Recipe
“[Swedish Meatballs] is always a favorite,” Alyssa says. “Every time I make it, I truly believe that it’s one of the best Swedish meatball recipes. The creamy sauce on it is just so good and I could just serve it over noodles for my family.”
For a quick recipe hack, you can substitute making your own meatballs for frozen meatballs, Alyssa says.
“It honestly tastes like it’s from a restaurant, and you can ‘wow’ your family thinking it was a lot more complicated than it is.”
Let’s get into the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1lb (450g) ground beef
- 1⁄4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1⁄4 tsp ground allspice
- 1⁄4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1⁄4 cup finely chopped white or yellow onion
- 1⁄2 tsp garlic powder
- 1⁄2 tsp salt, plus more to taste
- 1⁄8 tsp freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, parsley, allspice, nutmeg, white or yellow onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and egg.
- Portion the beef mixture into 12 large meatballs or 20 small meatballs, and roll into shape.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Add the meatballs in batches, and cook, turning continuously, for 5 to 8 minutes or until brown on every side and cooked through. Transfer to a plate, cover with foil, and repeat with the remaining meatballs.
- Add the remaining 4 tablespoons butter and the all-purpose flour to the skillet, and whisk for 2 or 3 minutes or until it turns brown. Slowly stir in the beef broth and heavy cream. Add the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken. Season with additional salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the meatballs to the skillet, simmer for 1 or 2 minutes, and serve.

I will never say no to watching an episode of Friends. The jokes make me laugh out loud every single time, the outfits changed fashion and beauty in the real world (hello The Rachel!), and there's nothing more iconic than Monica's purple apartment. The cast of Friends embody their roles so well, and thanks to the hilarious moments written into the show, and the fact the series ran for 10 whole seasons, their IRL friendship totally comes through onscreen.
If you've finished your own rewatch for the thousandth time (of both the OG series and the Friends reunion), but still want to see Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, then here are some other movies and TV shows featuring the cast of Friends to add to your watchlist!
Jennifer Anistonas Rachel Green
Image via NBC/Warner Bros. Television
Friends truly launched Jennifer Aniston into A-lister status and the actress has been in a number of movies and TV shows since playing Rachel Green (a role that earned her five Primetime Emmy nominations, and a win for Lead Actress). Jennifer ended up starring in a number of iconic 2000s movies, including Rumor Has It, Marley & Me, He's Just Not That Into You, as well as Just Go with It and both Murder Mystery movies opposite Adam Sandler. She's had two very public marriages, the first with Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, and the second with Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018.
Courteney Cox as Monica Geller
Image via NBC/Warner Bros. Television
Before Courteney Cox joined the cast of Friends, she had roles in Family Ties, Seinfeld, and Murder She Wrote. After Friends took off, Courteney landed a leading role in the cult classic Scream franchise and has since appeared in all six original movies (she's also in talks to join Scream 7!). She directed Brandi Carlisle's "Right On Time" music video, and got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023! After a 14-year marriage to David Arquette, Courteney Cox has been in a relationship with Johnny McDaid since 2013.
Lisa Kudrow asPhoebe Buffay
Image via Warner Bros. Television/Getty
Before I watched Friends, I knew Lisa Kudrow from Emma Roberts' standout 2000s movie Hotel For Dogs. Lisa has also starred in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, P.S. I Love You, Emma Stone's Easy A, and Booksmart. She married Michel Stern in 1995, and when she got pregnant with her son Julian in 1998, the pregnancy was written into the show! (Remember when Phoebe serves as her brother's surrogate? Yeah, that's one plot arc I'm pretty sure I'll never forget.) As of 2024, she's an executive producer on the game show 25 Words or Less.
Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing
Image via NBC/Warner Bros. Television
Chandler Bing is tied with Rachel for my favorite Friends character, just like Matthew Perry is my favorite member of the cast of Friends. In between scoring the role of Chandler and waiting for the show to air on television, he worked alongside Gwyneth Paltrow at the Williamstown Theater Festival in 1993. Matthew got Emmy nominations for his work on The West Wing and The Ron Clark Story, and starred in Fools Rush In opposite Salma Hayek and 17 Again. He released his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing in 2022. Matthew Perry passed away in October 2023.
Matt LeBlanc asJoey Tribbiani
Image via NBC/Warner Bros. Television
In addition to Friends, Matt LeBlanc has starred in a number of other movies and TV shows. He was in Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and served as both lead actor and executive producer on Man with a Plan. Even after Friends ended, Matt technically didn't leave the cast of Friends because he got his own spinoff! Joey (which also starred Jennifer Coolidge) aired from 2004-2006 and follows Joey Tribbiani as he tries to make it as an actor in LA.
David Schwimmer as Ross Geller
Image via Warner Bros. Television
Before booking Friends, David Schwimmer had roles on Blossom and The Wonder Years. Just like the rest of the cast of Friends, David Schwimmer took some other roles throughout the show's 10-year run. He starred in Band of Brothers, all three Madagascar movies (icon behavior!), and played Robert Kardashian in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. David directed 10 episodes of Friends and two of Joey! He has one child with his ex-wife Zoë Buckman.
Are the Friends cast Friends now?
Image via Warner Bros. Television/Getty Images
Yes, the cast of Friends are still friends today! They often post about each other on social media, and on Courteney Cox's birthday, Jennifer Aniston took the time to point out her friend's best qualities. “I’d like to take a moment and wish my dearest CC the happiest of birthdays,” Jennifer says on Instagram. “If you’ve been lucky enough to know her, you know how incredible she is.”
"[Friends] changed my life in every way," Matthew Perry told People in 2021. "I got the show when I was a 24-year-old man; the show ended when I was 34. It formed my life. And it was the time of my life."
What happened to Joey from Friends?
Image via Carlo Allegri/Getty Images
After the events of the Friends finale, Joey took off to LA to pursue acting in his own spinoff Joey! He moves in with his sister Gina and his nephew Michael. And in true Joey fashion, he soon falls for his superintendent Alexis. The show aired on NBC from 2004 to 2006.

Say Goodbye To Tired Eyes Our Favorite Under Eye Patches
Kayla Walden
Mar 29, 2024
Looking tired from lack of sleep, insomnia, or endless scrolling til 2am? Me too! Which is why I've got some of our best picks for under-eye patches that'll make you look like a sleeping beauty who gets at LEAST 14 hours like our faveDakota Johnsonrequires. While we all wish we could sleep for 12 hours, it's not always the case. So whether your skin is feeling dry and tired from the winter months or you naturally have dark circles like I do, don't worry, we have it all!
As we list these we want to point out some target ingredients for more specific symptoms:
- If your skin is dry and dehydrated keep an eye out for Hyaluronic Acid.
- If you're experiencing fine lines then make sure to find masks with Niacinimide in them.
- If your eyes are puffy from lack of sleep then try Vitamin C or Caffeine in your skincare.
So now that you know what to look for, here are the under-eye patch superheroes for getting the well-slept look that I have personally tried and tested! Say bye-bye to your under eye bags after these glowing and show-stopping recommendations!
Are under eye patches effective?
Photo by Anastasia Shuraeva / PEXELS
Under eye patches can be extremely effective when they have great ingredients. Some key things you want to look out for are: Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, hydrating oils like rosehip or jojoba, and Vitamin C. Any of these ingredients will be really beneficial to hydrating and soothing your under eyes — which is why they can also be extremely effective when cool! So if you leave your under eye patches in the fridge overnight, then they can help to de-puff any bags you may have after a sleepless night and help circulate blood flow to get your color back.
How long should I keep under eye patches on?
Photo by Ron Lach / PEXELS
The recommended time can be anywhere from 5-20 minutes depending on the ingredients, so we recommend keeping your under eye patches on for no longer than 20 minutes. This is important to bear in mind, especially if your patches have stronger, more potent ingredients like collagen or caffeine. So put them on and then in 5-20 minutes you can take them off to revel a brighter, less puffy under eye area!
Shop Our Favorite Under Eye Patches
Dieux Eye Masks
These reusable, silicone eye masks are probably the most popular eye masks I've heard about in recent years. Since they're reusable they help to justify the price a bit. These eye masks have niacinimide which is going to be perfect if you're trying to combat any fine lines or hydrate your underage area. Since they're silicone, they're also super helpful in holding serums in place hence their re-usable nature. These are a 10/10 on all counts!
HydroPeptide Collagel Line Lifting Mask
This mask is all about moisture!! So if you have dry or dehydrated under-eyes then look no further! With caviar extract and Vitamin E, you're looking at a mask that will lock in moisture and soothe your under-eye after a long night. This one is also highly rated, with an almost perfect 5-star-only rating! Definitely one to keep an *eye* out for!
Tatcha Luminous Silk Deep Hydration Mask
This one is a full face mask, but I had to link it because it'sSO insanely plumping. This optionis a bitexpensive, but I'm not kidding — this mask is sorcery. The way it plumps your face makes your skin look like you've been asleep for 3 years and are the mostwell-rested person in the world...even when you're definitelynot. It's said to boost your moisture and hydration levels by 200%! This is a holy grail and great to use every once in a while when you need something a little extra.
Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Eye Mask
Talk about 24K magic! These are also super popular. I've been using them for years because I genuinely noticed a difference in my underage brightness when I do. These might be my favorite because they hydrate, de-puff, AND brighten all at the same time. They really do work wonders on your skin. The reason they have 24k gold is because Cleopatra was said to have used it in her skincare to help with aging. Sign me up! This product also contains Niacinimide which will help with keeping the underage elastin strong.
Patchology Rejuvenating Eye Gels
This 30 piece set of eye gels are sure to take those puffy under eyes and give them the look of a full night's sleep. With caffeine AND collagen in them, they are sure to brighten, depuff, and hydrate your under eyes for weeks to come since they have 30 patches!
