Corient Private Wealth has broken its M&A silence after a seven-month wait.

The US wealth management arm of Canadian asset manager CI Financial has made its first RIA acquisition of 2024, according to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, snapping up Socius Family Office in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

The transaction closed on May 31, SEC filings show. The deal between Corient and Socius has not previously been reported.
