She was finally whisked to safety by some Vaxxlians when her sister reached out to her friend's mate. Although she knows she is safe on New Vaxx she still has terrible nightmares. Her sister is putting her life on hold for her too so Macy decides to make a choice for herself. She puts herself forward as a bride so that her sister can do so as well and move on with her life too. She's not ready but she has to try except that her new husband is huge, scarred and has bottomless eyes! Help!
I love that Dakk is so gentle despite his looks, that Macy takes the chance and that they both believe in telling the truth to each other. Fabulous book. I loved it.

The story was pitifully slow going for a novella. Alien 🌎world building was good for such a short book.
This is a politically correct version of big bad Alien Warriors🐺🍆⛲💪🔪🔫, complete with paternity leave! What is this world 🌎 coming to?

Kinda wish it was spicier sorry. Very nice low angst short little book. Alien dude isn't very alien. I love how it was just a sweet little book about two people who were very into each other right from the start.

I’m a little confused why this doesn’t have more reviews?! This is a really sweet quick read.

TW: speak of past abuse which took place before FMC left earth. Nothing detailed but just explains her nervous disposition at the start of the book.

The story is wonderful, awe inspiring and filled with hope and love as it deals with prejudice which is an assumption about someone based on uncorroborated facts and overcoming traumatic events.
We read about Macy and her sister Skylar who are now safe and together. They have been running for their lives since the death of their parents. They became separated on Earth and Macy had some frightful experiences and still has nightmares of being chased and killed. We read how Macy needs to overcome her past and Dakk the Vaxxlian Warrior who was born with black eyes is considered cursed and some Vaxxlians think he’s evil. She is matched to Dakk, the warrior with dark eyes and she only sees how handsome he looks. Dakk never thought the Vaxillian Matchmakers would find him a mateand when he met Macy he was in awe of her beauty but he could feel that she feared him. Was she afraid of him? Can they really be a match? Dakks shop is vandalized and set on fire, is this the work of Macy’s enemies from Earth? From someone who had a grudge against Dakk? Will they be able to overcome all odds?
These stories can be read alone. They sizzle, smolder and electrify!! Are rich in content, character development and we care about them. It is loaded with adventure, danger, SUSPENSE, enemies, allies, romance, and so much more! The story is filled with twists and turns is fast paced and draws you in from page one until the end.

Can She Ever Trust Again?

Macy came to New Vaxx with her sister to escape assassins that were after them on earth because of who her father was. She has no one left but her sister and even though they are supposedly safe there she still suffers from nightmares about earth. When she realizes her sister isn’t looking for a mate because she hasn’t, she realizes she is selfishly holding her sister back. She fears she is too broken to ever trust again. But she swallows her fears and sneaks out and into the Vaxxlian Matchmakers office.

Dakk is a dark eyed Vaxxlian warrior living on New Vaxx. He has been ridiculed and shunned his whole life because his eyes aren’t green like every other Vaxxlian. He has a successful furniture building business but longs for a mate, knowing no one will probably accept him because he is different. He is shocked when he gets a call that he has been matched and to come pick up his mate.

When Dakk and Macy first meet she is overwhelmed by his size but is also attracted to him. He is astonished by her beauty and her willingness to accept him as her mate. As they get to know each other and he finds out about her fears he promises to always protect her from harm. But when someone burns his business to the ground and seems set out to destroy him, can he keep his promise?

Another great book in the series!

Macy and her sister Skylar are safe. They are on New Vaxx and nothing can hurt them here but Macy is still have nightmares of being chased and killed. On top of that, her sister won’t take a mate till she knows that Macy feels safe. Being single on New Vaxx has a time limit. There are many males looking for a mate. She ends up taking matters in her own hands. When she is matched to Dakk, a warrior with black eyes, she is shocked at how handsome he is. Dakk never thought he would find a mate even with the Vaxxlian Matchmakers. But a mate they found for him. When he meets Macy he is in awe of her beauty. But he can smell her fear. Is she afraid of him? Are they actually a match?

I love that Macy, regardless of her fear, takes the steps to move on and at the same time make sure that her sister moves on. Her being paired with a strong warrior with unique eyes is shocking but he makes her feel so safe. When things happen to Dakk’s shop you have to wonder is this about Macy’s past or something more. I love that Dakk takes his time to know Macy. We now have to find a mate for her sister Skylar. I do love that we get to go into the future with Dakk and Macy and see how their family grew.

Oh I loved reading Maci and Dakk’s story. It’s not all a bunch of roses though when an old enemy comes to light but Daxx soon takes care of him and they have a happily ever after ending which, after everything they’ve been through, they definitely deserve.

Maci ended up sneaking out to Vaxxian mates in order for them to find her soulmate. She wished for a mate who is kind, patient and understanding of what she went though on earth. She got all that with Dakk and a whole lot more. At first she is scared of him but the more she gets to know him the better she feels. The time they are supposed to be mating gets disturbed, Dakk’s shop is on fire. He rushes to tell Maci and she tells him to go. When he gets back he’s covered in soot and tells her he will use a shower in the guest bathroom. When he returns it’s to find Maci in the bed with a very thin sheet against her, she tells Dakk she wants to mate now. The next day she contacts her sister who is very worried about her, she tells Skylar that she is safe and very happy. They are both very happy and believe they are soulmates. Dakk is hesitant to let her out alone just yet and they haven’t caught the person responsible for the fire yet.

This was a wonderful read that I enjoyed every single moment of, I do not want to spoil the read for other readers so prefer to be careful about how much I divulge about the plot or characters as there is nothing worse than spoiling a read for other.
Now that she has reached New Vaxx where her sister is going to start living with a Vaxxlian Matchmaker where she hopes to find a mate, Macey is desperate to find a mate and settle down happily. Dakk is considered to be cursed simply because of the colour of his eyes they are quite suspicious and black eyes is top of this list.
The pair have been running since the death of their parents and still they fear the people responsible for her parents’ death, her sister has been considering mating with a Vaxxlian and now Macy sneaks away and visits a matchmaker in the hope that they may be able to find a potential mate.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

The sweet, scarred girl with the golden hair has also survived her family's tragedy, and is now safe in Starzzia, a town of beauty, peace, and goodwill. (Clearly NOT on Earth - but, hey!) She's alone and feeling unloved and unsafe. (Humans suffer PSTD when traumatized.) Long story short? Courage and hope and patience produce love, healing, and HEA, (not to mention a love life we can only dream of). I absolutely adored this sweet spicy dream-come-true alien romance! (Cynics should probably pass on it, though. It doesn't deserve grumpy/snide reviews.) I call it 5 twinkly rose-colored stars, and that is my voluntary, independent ARC review.

Another awesome Vaxxlian finds his mate! Macy is a good character but I have found, that in the last two books in this series, that the Vaxxlian is the star of the book. Dakk is such an inspiring character. As Dakk does not have the usual glowing green eyes of a Vaxxlian, he is considered cursed and has lead a very difficult life. He has been shunned and though he longs for a family, he figures he will never have one. My heart broke for him and then rejoiced when he was matched and Macy accepted him. Dakk was so caring and protective of his mate. Dakk's story is runs the gambit of feels (tragic, joyful, sad, hopeful).

It was a fairly quick read and it seemed to speed by when detailing Dakk's actions/story (it did seem to drag a little while detailing Macy - probably because I really enjoyed Dakk's character). I have read all of the Vaxxlian books from the beginning and have enjoyed them all but these latest ones (the mail order brides and matchmaker stories) I think are a little bit more entertaining. Grab this whole Vaxxlian series and enjoy.

Macy and her sister Skylar are saved from Earth by Myadd, who I met along with his 2 brothers in Vaxxlian Alien Mail Order Brides Vol. 2 Boxed Set. The sisters were being hunted down by the murderer of her father and many of their father's colleagues. Macy lives in fear and has constant nightmares of being chased by these unknown assassins. On New Vaxx she finally decides to move forward with her life because she knows if she doesn't, her sister Skylar wont move forward with her's. So when she is matched to Dakk, a warrior with black eyes, she is shocked at how handsome he is and how safe she feels with him. Dakk is shocked that he has been matched because he feels his eyes make him strange, since all other Vaxxlian men have glowing green eyes. But he fells an instant connection and a fierce protective attachment to Macy. The book has great pace, compelling characters, steam, some twists, and a surprise or two. Well written and a great addition to this world.

Keeping a promise..is the most important thing. Macy suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and can't sleep one night in her new home on New Vaxx without being woken up by terrible nightmares. She has fled Earth with her older sister Skylar and finally wants to make here a fresh start. Dakk, a former Vaxxlian fighter, now works as a successful carpenter in the capital of New Vaxx and desperately wants a family...but his happiness is marred by a genetic flaw: unlike all other Vaxxlians, he has black eyes instead of green. Some of his fellow aliens think he is cursed. Both have visited the Vaxxlian Matchmakers and are matched as soulmates.
I won't tell you more because otherwise I will have given too much away. The inner doubts of the two and their similar fears make them an incredibly fitting couple. A beautiful story that is entertaining, interesting and very romantic.

Macy can't seem to get over her fear. The fear that's been with her since she'd been separated from her sister and forced to endure so much till they'd been rescued and come to New Vaxx. She feels broken. How can she mate with a Vaxxilian Warrior when she feels this way, but to make way for Skylar, she does. Dakk feels that he's cursed despite what his mother has always told him and that he's an honorable warrior and doesn't think that he'll ever be matched, so when he's matched to Macy, He is overjoyed, but thinks it might be a mistake, but vows that he'll do whatever he can to protect and keep her. Maybe they are both just broken enough to heal each other, because the matchmakers claim to find soulmates. Could it be true? Love the characters, sweet and soulful what a love story, one of the best of the Vaxxilian mate stories so far!!

“I wish I weren’t broken…”

Macy can’t help but feel damaged and broken. Yet it isn’t until her sister Skyler points out what the Vaxxlian warriors have been through (their planet destroyed, nearly all of them lost family) that she realizes she may truly find a kindred spirit on New Vaxx.

Dakk has tried to accept his fate as unlikely to ever mate, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t dreamt of a family… or prepared a house in which he and a mate could build one.

I really enjoyed how this story faced fears, and prejudices, how friendships were explored, and each character was reminded friends can become our family when without a conscious decision being made— and our lives are all the better for it.

This done in one story stands delightfully on its own, while tying in to Myadd’s story.

Sweet alien romance

This is part of a series ( and it is great to find out what has happened to some of the earlier couples ) but is also a stand alone story so if you have not yet read the earlier books you can still enjoy this one. Human women on new vaxx are expected to find a mate but not all find a soul mate , when fear has been your constant state for years whilst running from your family enemies accepting a mate at all is hard but one as large and as scary looking as this ??? Crime is almost unheard of on this planet so why does an arsonist strike as soon as they get ready to mate ? A sweet romance with a nice twist of suspense and mystery to spice it up .

I love the story and this series. Macy was rescued from Earth by a Vaxxlian and his mate. She and her sister have been on the run for a year running away from people that killed their father and his supporters. Now they are on New Vaxx. Her sister is considering going to the Vaxxlian Matchmaker to find a mate but doesn't want to until Macy is ready to find a mate. So Macy sneaks away and goes to the matchmakers and has a mate immediately. Dakk has black eyes and is considered cursed by some of his people. They are attracted to each other and get to know each other. What happens when an enemy comes calling?

This is book 2 of the Vaxxlian Matchmakers series, specifically about Dakk and.Macy. I really enjoyed this book. Especially how safe Dakk makes Macy feel, as she has had so much previous trauma.

She was living in fear for a while and did not expect to be able to connect to her match for a while. However, that changes after she is able to spend time with Dakk and get to know him. He is unfailingly patient with her, which I loved.

I enjoy the authors ability to world build and make her characters so likable and believable, even in an alien setting. I definitely recommend this book and the series. I am excited to see what is next in this book series!

Alien Warrior’s Promise

Wow! I think this is my new favorite story! This is part of the matchmaker series, where single human women are matched to Vaxxlian warriors by a pair of psychic sisters. Macy is one of two sisters who were threatened and chased on Earth because of their politician father, and Macy was still very traumatized. She goes to the matchmaker so her sister will be free to follow her heart, but Macy ends up with the most loving, sweet, protective mate! Their love story is wonderful, and the little bit of intrigue in the story just supports how special their mating is, and I loved the epilogue and HEA! I love all of the New Vaxx stories, and this one was fabulous!

Macy and her sister are on New Vaxx after fleeing assassins. Macy is hesitant to take a mate, and still holds a great deal of fear from her ordeals fleeing assassins but plunges headfirst into a relationship without telling anyone in hopes that her sister will feel safe to pursue her own life.
Daxx holds a lot of rage and resentment due to an unusual characteristic that cultural superstition views as cursed. But when he and Macy come together, Macy feels a sudden sense of safety and relaxedness while Daxx feels protective and light-hearted.
There relationship and interactions are incredibly sweet, with the only sense of unease coming from the fact that the danger to Macy is one that is unseen and unpredictable.

A great read !!

What a terrific story !!
I have read this series, but I think I missed a few . No worries, I picked it right back up :+)

In thus story we find Macy . A young woman, who along with her sister, got rescued from Earth , and now reside on New Vaxxia. Macy has had a rough time on Earth ,and feels as though she needs to make a move so that her sister can be happy.
Warrior Daxx , like a lot of Warriors has given up hope of having a family. But he goes to the match makers anyway. Just in case .
These two find that even though life can be messy, there us always tomorrow !!
A wonderful addition to this series!!

I loved this alien sci-fi romance with Macy and Dakk both have scars but Dakk’s is quite literal and because of his eye colour he believes that he is cursed. Dakk longs for a family he believes that no woman could love him until he gets a call from the Vaxxlian Matchmakers to go and pick up his human bride to be Macy, things don’t go so well at the beginning because Macy is terrified of him. This is a emotional story and my heart went out to these two, I loved this story and the characters and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

The second book in the Vaxxlian Matchmakers series a well written story that held my interest throughout. Macy and her sister Skyler seek refuge on planet New Vaxx. Because of what happened to her on Earth and not wanting to hold her sister back from finding love Macy signs up with Vaxxlian Matchmakers. She is matched with warrior Dakk a scarred man who can not believe he has been chosen. There is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, a villain, and romance. The story was well worth reading. A new instalment of this insta-love series - this time we meet Macy and Dakk. No complaints about this series, it has a general formula that is always followed but it's nice to read as a palate cleanser between books. Macy is a timid woman new to the planet and Dakk a scarred outsider. They meet, fall in love, and eventually live happily ever after.

As usual Sue's writing is good - steady pace with no stalls or belabouring points. It's sweet and a good short read.

Macy and her sister have been on the run from the people who killed their father. They're rescued by a Vaxxian warrior and taken into outer space. In order to live in New Vaxx they're expected to find a mate. Macy knows she's holding her sister back from finding a mate so she just goes to the Matchmaker, not thinking that it would be so fast. Dakk is lonely and doesn't expect to find a mate because of his differences but he gets one and trouble follows.

I've enjoyed all I've read from the Vaxxlain world and this is no exception. Fast paced read, likable characters and an easy read. The basis of the story is Vaxxlain was destroyed and the only way they can save their civilization is by mating with human women. All the stories are stand alone although some of the characters show up from other stories. In this one fated mates find each other but the past isn't done with them. Loved it -

This author never disappoints. I love her books and always want for more once I finish. This book was the same. This is Dakk and Macy. Macy chose to put herself up for the bride program to not hold back her sister. She ends up with a harden and scarred warrior, Dakk. As always, there is a little hurdle to overcome as the two come together.
